Baltromei to celebrate at Cagnes

Werner Baltromei was rather sceptical last week when asked about his prospects for the winter flat meeting at Cagnes sur mer, but in fact has made a great start with two winners already from only three starters. Today he can celebrate in any case, as it is his birthday, but he also has four runners with chances so there could well be other reasons.

In the opening tiercé handicap over 2000 metres at 13.35 he saddles Tiger Village and in the second division at 16.40 Astronom; he also runs Enzio in a mile conditions race at 15.05 and Sumatra Tiger in a handicap over 1500 metres at 16.10. In view of the good stable form, we expect all of these to run well, with Enzio having perhaps the best chance. All these races are run on the all-weather track and all 4 runners will be partnered by Dominique Boeuf.
