All-weather racing at Lingfield and Kempton

Two more low-level all-weather meetings today, and Jamie Spencer could well be the jockey to follow. At Lingfield this afternoon he can land a double on Kevin Ryan´s Wicked Daze in the 2 mile claimer at 14.20 (he won narrowly over 1 1/2 miles last time but this trip is better) and Jo Crowley´s Basra in the 10 furlongs handicap at 5.30. This is quite an open heat wth 14 runners, but Basra, only narrowly beaten here last time, likes this track and in fact won this race last year. He needs to be held up for a late run and Spencer has few masters of such tactics.

Several of the jockeys riding here move on to Kempton`s twilight meeting and Spencer can land another double here with David Simcock´ s Ilie Nastase in the mile claimer at 18.30 and Ed Vaughan´s Audemar in the mile handicap at 19.00. Consistent Den´s Gift (Clice Cox/ Adam Kirby) looks the main danger in the latter event. Russian Musíc (Ian Williams/ Stephen Donohoe) can complete a quick four-timer in the 2 mile handicap here at 19.30, but he is racing for the first time at Kempton and faces better opposition this time, so both Dani´s Girl (Pat Phelan/ Kieran Fox) and bottom-weight Moonbeam Dancer (David Simcock/ Nicky Mckay) coud prove troublesome.
