Taunton only jumps fixture today

with Haydock abandoned, Taunton now stages the only N.H. racing today. Paul Nicholls continues to mop up all the big races (2 more Group Ones yesterday) and he can also score at this much lower level with Tito Bustillo (Ruby Walsh), who despite conceding 10 lbs to all his 13 opponents, can take the novice hurdle at 14.10 CET. Spirit of Adjisa (Alan King/ Robert Thornton) looks the greatest danger, but let´s not overlook ex-German (Jonjo O´Neill/ Noel Fehily).

Despite his two poor efforts so far in the U.K., it should not be forgotten that he was 3rd in the Union-Rennen last year. Nicholls and Walsh also team up with two fancied candidates in the two divisions of the bumper - Ramses de Marsigny at 16.25 and Irish Airman half an hour later; in both cases the almost equally powerful combination of Nicky Henderson and Barry Geraghty provide the main opposition with Shakalakaboumboum and Owen Glendower respectively.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Asturienne - Dolly Penrose - Misstree Dancer
2. Race: Tito Bustillo - Spirit Of Adjisa - Dean`S Grange
3. Race: Ere Alfie - Brimham Boy - Anay Turge
4. Race: Dona - Karky Schultz - Chaninbar
5. Race: Sea Saffron - Lavenoak Lad - Ultimate Limit
6. Race: Ramses De Marcigny - Shakalakaboomboom - Spring Moon
7. Race: Owen Glendower - Irish Airman - Nehemiah
