Chepstow, Wetherby and Navan

there is also N.H. racing today at Chepstow in Wales, Wetherby in Yorkshire and Navan in Ireland. All 3 meetings report heavy hoing, and punters should try to stick to horses that can act in the conditions. One of them is Sue Smith´s veteran Mr. McGoldrick, who carries top-weight in the handicap hurdle at 14.40 at Wetherby and seems to act on any ground; he is also a CD specialist and we hope to see him defeat last years´s winner Terenzium. Here there are also only 4 runners in the novice chase at 14.10, which looks a match between Rory Boy and Gansey. Charlie Mann does very well with his German imports, and his Sullumo has a good chance in the novice chase at 14.05 at Chepstow, although this is quite a strong field, and Paul Nicholl´s Beshabar, off the track for 21 months, could be very dangerous if fully fit. Alan King´s stable seems to be coming back into form, and he can take the handicap chase here at 15.35 with Stolen Moments, although Bob Bob Bobbin looks a threat if he can shrug off his latest below form effort. Two likely odds-on favourites who should score at Navan are Osana at 13.00 (another novice chase with 4 runners) and Quinola des Obeaux in the novice hurdle at 15.00, while Operation Houdini can make up for his latest mishap and win the Grade C handicap hurdle here at 15.30.
