All-weather racing at Lingfield and Kempton

Selling and claiming races are not the most reliable betting opportunities, but it is hard to see Sir Edwin Landseer (Gary Moore/ Fergus Sweeney) and Zubova (Richard Hannon/ Richard Hughes) being beaten in the first 2 races this afternoon at Lingfield. Later on, the 1 1/2 handicap at 16.30 CET looks much more open. Kieren Fallon, who will soon be jetting off to Hong Kong, has a chance here with Eagle Nebula, but we prefer top-weight and course specialist Bell Island (Lady Herries/ Hughes). We cannot imagine that many racegoers will make their way to Kempton´s modest racing this evening, but we fancy Ipswich Lad (Andrew Balding/ Liam Keniry) to win the 10 furlongs race for 2yo maidens at 19.50 and the jockey has another good chance on Tommy Keddy´s consistent Dinner Date in the 10 furlongs handicap at 20.30, where improving 3yo Best in Class /Steve Williams/ Dane O´Neill) looks the chief danger.
