The Irish meeting at Punchestown goes ahead after an early morning inspection, but the going will be very testing. Some smart performers will be on view, including last season´s champion bumper Dunguib (Philip Fenton/ Mr. BTO´Connell) in the hurdle race at 14.50 CET, and L´Ami (Enda Bolger/ JTMcNamara) in the cross country at 14.15, as well as another smart bumper Quel Esprit (Willie Mullins/ Paul Townend) in the maiden hurdle at 16.30; all 3 are likely to start at very short odds. In England, Charlie Mann, whose string is in good form, can land an across-the-card double with German-bred Sullumo (Noel Fehily) in the beginners chase at 14.05 at Uttoxeter, and Gaora Lane (Peter Toole) in the staying handicap chase at 16.25 at Wetherby.
