Irish racing today

there are still some all-weather meetings at Dundalk to come, but today´s card at Leopardstown is just about the last important flat fixture of the year in Ireland. Not surprisingly there are some huge fields with all the top stables represented. The listed race over 7 furlongs at 15.10 CET should go to the Aga Khan´s Rayeni (John Oxx/ Mick Kinane) with consistent Dohasi (Ger Lyons/ Keagan Latham) looking the main danger. Aidan O´Brien has a strong hand in the other listed race, for 2yo´s over 9 furlongs at 15.40, with Mikhail Glinka (Seamus Heffernan) and Banyan Tree (son Joseph in the saddle), but Jim Bolger´s Marfach (beaten a short-head in the Goffs Million) with Kevin Manning aboard looks the most likely winner. There is a decent jumps card at Cork with several top prospects for this season on view. Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh could be in for a good afternoon, as they have 3 likely favourites, Definitve Edge in the Grade 3 novice hurdle at 15.25, Our Monty in the Cork Grand National at 15.55 and Morning Supreme, one of their big hopes, in the maiden hurdle at 16.55. German-bred Catch Me (Edward O´Grady/ Andrew McNamara), most impressive on his chase debut, can take the listed novice chase at 16.25
