Godolphin winning run to continue on Newmarket´s final day

today sees the last racing of 2009 at racing´s HQ at Newmarket and it looks like another winning day for Godolphin. The stable has been in amazing form this month and the last 8 runners from Saeed bin Suroor´s yard have all won, 6 of them ridden by Frankie Dettori, who can do no wrong at the moment. However there has been some bad news for Godolphin as Kirklees, Frankie´ s intended mount in Tuesday´s Melbourne Cup, did not please Saeed on his arrival in Australia and has been scratched. At Newmarket this afternoon the stable has good prospects with debutant Perfect Note in the second division of the 2yo maiden fillies race at 13.55 CET, Anhar (Dettori) and Natural Law (Durcan) in the conditions race for 2yo´s over 10 furlongs at 13.30, Shaweel (Dettori) and City Style (Durcan) in the listed mile race at 15.35, unbeaten Bint Alamtar in the listed race for 2yo fillies at 16.10, and -the best bet of the day in our view -Prince Siegfried in the listed race over 10 furlongs at 16. 45. Godolphin could even score at this evening´s two all-weather meetings, with Samaaha (Martin Dwyer) in the 2 mile handicap for 3yo´s at 19.05 at Kempton, and debutant Naseeha (Durcan) in the maiden at 22.20 at Wolverhampton. There is also flat racing today at Ayr. where the going is very soft. Best race here is the mile handicap at 14.40, where Collateral Damage (Tim Easterby/ David Allan) can get back to winning form.
