German runners in France today

it has been a good week so far for German-trained runners in Germany, and there could be more winners today, especially at Strasbourg (note: early start here!), where there are no fewer than 25 German runners entered. 8 of them run in the claiming race for 3yo´s at 13.20, 7 in the claimer for older horses at 14.25 and 8 again in the 2100 metres handicap at 15.30. It is hard to say which have the best chances, although we have a slight fancy for Werner Hefter´s Franziskaner (Mathieu Sautjeau) at 1425 and also expect Miroslav Rulec´s Ian to run well over hurdles at 13.55. There are also German runners at Chantilly, where Werner Baltromei´s Freminius must have a good chance in the ladies race at 16.45 with Steffi Hofer in the saddle, while Andreas Trybuhl´s Grazilla (Gregory Benoist) also has possibilities in the fillies handicap at 17.15.

Betting forecast:

4. Race: Ian - Padirac - Pic Blanc d`Huez
5. Race: Lucky Limbo - Figo - Skittle
