N.H. racing at Sedgefield and Roscommon (Ireland)

There are the usual huge fields at the Irish jumps meeting at Roscommon today. Whispering Wind (Joanna Morgan/ Barry Geraghty) looks the best bet on the card in the mares maiden hurdle at 16.05 CET; she is due for a win after several good efforts and is easily best here on ratings. Geraghty also has a chance in the maiden hurdle at 17.35 on AK Wyse´s Wise Oscar, but Ruby Walsh´s mount Financialregulator looks the form choice here. At Sedgefield, the novice hurdle at 16.00 has attracted some fair performers and should mainly concern the 3 penalised horses Dr.Kildare (Gordon Elliott/ Keith Donoghue), Overrule (Brian Ellison/ Graham Lee) and Stagecoach Pearl (Sue Smith/ Tjade Collier). The 2 1/2 mile handicap chase at 17.30 looks very tricky. Last-time-out winner Tiger O´Toole (Evan Williams/ Paul Moloney) is the probably favourite but is not bombproof, and we fancy that inconsistent Pilca (Malcolm Jefferson/ James Halliday) could be a viable each-way alternative.
