La Coupe de Maisons-Laffitte

The best race in France today is the Group Three La Coupe de Maisons-Laffitte over 2000 metres at 16.00, which has attracted an international field. The German runner is Andreas Trybuhl´s Falun (Ioritz Mendizibal), who ran an excellent race at Baden-Baden when third in the Fürstenberg-Rennen, but faces tough opposition here. Best of the locals should be Chinchon (Carlos Laffon-Parias), but we prefer the British raider Big Bound (Richard Mullen), the first French runner for John Gosden since the controversial disqualification of Dar Re Mi. Rupert Pritchard-Gordon has declared Runaway, who ran a really good race behind Goldikova at Deauville, but he is expected to run on Cologne on Sunday instead.
