Irish racing today

There is a mixed meeting today at Roscommon with 4 flat races, followed by 3 chases. Aidan O´Brien and stable jockey Johnny Murtagh had a highly successful weekend and can keep up the good work with Purple Heart in the 2yo maiden at 16.15 CET and Waltz in the 1 1/2 mile maiden an hour later - although Dermot Weld´s Sublime Talent (Pat Smullen) could be a big threat here. All the flat races have maximum fields of 15 runners, but there are only 7 declared for the best race of the day a Grade Three novice chase over 2 miles at 18.15. 5 of them are last-time-out winners, with preference for Bob´s Pride (Dermot Weld/ Robbie McNamara) and Fisher Bridge (Noel Meade/ Paul Carberry).
