Roscommon this evening

There is no evening racing today in the U.K., so the Irish track of Roscommon has the field to itself. 7 races are on the card, 4 on the flat and 3 over hurdles, and the 10 furlongs maiden race at 19.50 CET could be the most informative event. Jazz Blues (John Oxx/ Mick Kinane) and Estephe (Tommy Stack/ Johnny Murtagh) were both runners-up last time and look the most likely prospects, but Livaleo (Joanna Morgan/ Pat Smullen), whose stable is in good form, looks a big danger. There are only 4 runners in the most valuable race, a fillies handicap over 1 1/2 miles at 20.20, and German-bred Gladiole (Ger Cully/ Danny Grant), who has finished second on her only two starts in 2009, should go one better here. The hurdle race at 20.50 is one of the first of this season in Ireland for 3yo´s and the booking of Ruby Walsh for Suprise Vendor certainly catches the eye.
