N.H. racing at Market Rasen, mixed cards in Ireland

Today´s two Irish meetings Cork and Galway. where it is the final day of the week-long Festival, both have mixed flat and jumping cards. The most valuable event at Galway is the 7 furlongs handivap at 17.0 CT with 16 runners, which has some quite classy runners, notably Firey Red (Dermot Weld/ Pat Smulln), who is our selection; however the lone British raider, Tajneed (David and Adrian Nicholls) should run well, he was 5th of 19 in a hot York handicap last time. It could be significant that Aidan O´Brien sends stable jockey Johnny Murtagh to Cork for two rides, the beautifully-bred debutant Benvenuto in the 2yo maiden at 16.45 and Empress of India in a maiden for older horses, also over 6 furlongs, two hours later. The best races at Market Rasen are the two class 3 handicaps over 2 1/2 miles; over sticks at 16.40 and over fences at 17.15. In two very tricky races our choices are top-weight Enlightenment (Rvan Williams/ Donal Fahy) and German-bred Passato (Jo Davis/ Samus Dura ck) respectively, although the latter would not want any more rain.
