Ireland this evening

The best racing of the day comes from Ireland, where the highlight of Leopardstown´s evening meeting is the Group Two Debutante Stakes for 2yo fillies at 20.10 CET. This looks like another top event which will go to Aidan O´Brien, who saddles 3 of the 6 runners. Stable jockey Johnny Murtagh partners Lillie Langtry, 2nd of 22 at Royal Ascot last time, but the other two runners should also not be ignored. O´Brien and Murtagh can also pick up th opening 2yo maiden at 18.40 with Beethoven, who has alrady run 5 tims withot winning, but should b up to this. There is also racing at Sligo with an all-hurdles card. The best event here is the novice hurdle over 2 1/2 miles at 19.50. Glenstal Abbey (Charlie Swan/ Tony McCoy) was caught close home by a Ruby Walsh runner at Galway last week, but can go one better here, with Walsh looking the most dangerous rival again on Hopeful Venture.
