Haydock, Musselburgh, Newmarket and Wexford (Ireland) this evening

There has also been plenty of rain at Newmarket, but this should not bother Godolphin´s Prince Siegfried in the conditions race for 3yo´s over 10 furlongs at 20.50 CET. He was third in a French Group Two last time which makes him the clear form choice here. With the Godolphin stable now in top form, it would come as no surprise if all 3 of their Newmarket runners - all partnered by Frankie Dettori- were to score this evening. Another trainer in red hot form is Ruth Carr, and she can take the mile handicap at 19.30 at Musselburgh and the 5 furlongs handicap an hour later with Ninth House and Raccoon, both ridden by Peter Mcdonald. Best race this evening at Haydock is the 3yo handicap over a mile at 21.00; Paquerettza (David Brown/ Paul Mulrennan) can maintain his unbeaten 2009 record here, he left out a much tougher race yesterday to wait for this.

In Ireland, there is a mixed meeting at Wexford (four flat races, two over hurdles and a bumper). Willie Mullins looks the trainer to follow here with 4 winning chances - topweight Lake and Lay (Paul Townend) in the handicap at 18.25, Tawaagg in the amateur riders race at 20.00, For the Staff in the maiden hurdle at 21.05 and debutant Red Cherub in the bumper at 21.35, the last 3 all partnered by his son Patrick.
