German runners at Deauville

The Deauville meeting is now almost over, but there are some German-trained runners at today´s meeting. Penjabi (Ralf Rohne/ Flavien Prat) goes for the 3000 metres race for 3yo´s at 14.55 while an hour later Mario Hofer´s Savono (Dominique Boeuf) runs in a conditions race over a mile for 3yo´s. Both Germans ar in good form but meet strong opposition. Later on, Sascha Smcrzek has two entries in the 1300 metrs race on the fibresand track at 16.55, Nightdance Honour (Henk Grewe) and Obelix (Christophe Soumillon); this is another tough race and top-weight Salut l´Africain (Robert Collet/ Franck Blondel) is the one to bat.Main event is th listed ace for 2yo´s at 14.25. There are only 5 runners and it looks easy for Godolphin´s Frozen Power, who has won his last 2 races and looks an above-average performer. With Frankie Dettori suspended, Olivier Peslier takes the ride.
