Rest of UK and Ireland

The remaining 5 meetings today obviously play second fiddle to Newmarket, but it is interesting that some top jockeys ride elsewhere this afternoon. Jamie Spencer has several fancied rides at Warwick, best of which should be Peter Chapple-Hyam´s Baunagain in the 6 furlongs handicap at 15.55 CET. He was just touched off last time on his first race for the stable after a long break. Meanwhile Darryll Holland is in action at Folkestone and can land a double on the top-weights Sand Repeal for Julia Feilden at 16.20 and Dancing Jest for Rae Guest at 18.05. At Doncaster´s evening meeting, Mark Johnston´s improving filly Interdiamonds (Joe Fanning) is steppoimng upon class and siatance but can still rtake the 1 1/2 milke handicap at 20.10. Thre ar some very small fields at psom, with only 4 runners in th 10 furloings conditions race at 20.55.

Argentinian import Rugell (Henry Cecil/ Tom Queally) is the interesting one here on his first race in Europe, but he will need to be smart to give weight to Fairmile (Ian Williams/ Stephen Donohoe), who is listed class. In Ireland, the 6 furlongs race at 21.00 at Leopardstown is the best race. Miss Gorica (Joanna Morgan/ Wayne Lordan) was 4th in a group race last time, and may just about hold Leandros (Ger Lyons/ Johnny Murtagh)
