Lingfield, Catterick and Uttoxeter (N.H.)

More modest racing this afternoon at Uttoxeter over jumps, Catterick and Lingfield, where the first 3 races are on turf and the last 3 on the all-weather. Best race here is the mile conditions event at 17.20 CET, where Film Set (Saeed bin Suroor/ Ted Durcan), who is best in at the weights, can continue the recent good run of the Godolphin stable. Gallantry (Paul Howling(/ Michael Geran) likes this track and looks the main danger. Beautiful Filly (David Simcock/ Richard Mullen) is in good form and can make up for her recent narrow defeat by winning the 3yo handicap over 6 furlongs at 17.50. At Catterick, the 5 furlongs handicap for 3y´s can go to Real Diamond (Allan Dickman/ Jamie Kyne), who well here last time over a furlong further but should not be troubled by the shorter trip. Bottom weight Dispol Kylie (Peter Midgley/ Peter Mcdonald) coukld be a dangern off bottom weight; After winning 3 times last year, she lost her form somewhat but has now been dropped to a very realis tic rating. At Uttoxeter, German-bred Vacario (Charlie Mann/ Noel Fehily) has an obvious chance in the novice hurdle at 15.10; on form the Acatenango gelding has only the similarly penalised Persian Warrior to beat.
