Ayr and Yarmouth this afternoon

Very little to get excited about this afternoon, especially at Yarmouth where there are 8 low-level races, 7 of them class 6. Our only recommendation here is Defecator, who sporting blinkers for the first time, was only narrowly beaten last week. That was a poor race, but so is this 6 furlongs handicap at 16.45 CET and Martin Dwyer is usually worth an interest when riding for his father-in-law Willie Muir. Following last week´s disaster, all races at Ayr today will be run on the straight course, i.e. over 5 or 6 furlongs. Easily the best race is the class 2 5 furlongs handicap at 17.30 which has attracted a strong field of 17 runners. The top qwoghts Look Busy (Alan Berry/ Slad O´Hara) and Reverence (Eric Alston/ Tom McLaughlin) are both good listed class performtrs, and in fact Reverence has plenty of Group One form to his credit. Any rain would be to his advantage, while Look Busy, who can boast 10 wins and 10 places from 28 career starts, is totally game and consistent and acts on any ground. She has already won twice this CD and is the selection, although in-form Canadian Danehill (Robert Cowell/ Phillip Makin) Tyrannosaurus Rex (Derek Shaw/ Franny Norton) and Pavershooz (Neil Wilson/ Duran Fentiman) all look dangerous.
