Sandown and Uttoxeter this evening

This evening´s N.H. card at Wetherby has been abandoned because of the hard ground, leaving just flat racing at Sandown and jumping at Uttoxeter. Sandown´s card is relatively weak, but with the Derby meeting starting just round the corner tomorrow, this is no surprise. Luca Cumani has his string in great form, and he usually means business when he books Frankie Dettori to ride for him; they team up with 3 runners this evening, Major Phil in the 3yo handicap at 20.15 CET, Annabelle´s Charm in the mile handicap at 19.50 and Bourne in the 3yo maiden at 21.25, all of whom should run well. The team to follow at Uttoxeter could be Donald McCain and Jason Maguire, who can win the 2 mile novice hurdle at 18.50 with Any Given Day and the 3 mile novice hurdle half an hour later with Always Bold.
