Rest of Chantilly

The rest of the Chantilly card is also strong, with 2 group 3 races the main supporting features. From the German point of view the Prix de Royaumont for 3yo fillies over 2400 metres at 16.15, as the field of 7 includes Gestüt Ammerland´s Bahama Bay (Andre´ Fabre/ Maxime Guyon), a daughter of German Derby winner Borgia, and Quetsche (Jean-Claude Rouget/ Christophe Lemaire), out of German classic winner Que Belle. The Aga Khan´s Shamayika and the Abdullah runner Atlas Silk are the two to beat. There is a German runner in the Prix Paul de Moussac for 3yo colts over a mile at 16.50, Christian von der Recke´s Sabantuy with Ioritz Mendizibal in the saddle, but he needs to improve to trouble such smart performers as Oiseau de Feu and Handsome Maestro. Other German-trained runners here are the tough and consistent Zadounevees (Waldemar Himmel/ Dominique Boeuf) with top-weight in the 2400 metres handicap at 15.05, and Fair Lord (Dr. Bolte/ Davy Bonilla) and Manaba (Werner Baltromei/ Boeuf), who run in the 2000 metres conditions race for 4yo´s at 15.40.
