Rest of U.K. and Ireland

There is plenty more racing in the U.K. and Ireland today, but little of importance. It could be significant that several top jockeys are riding this afternoon at Nottingham, and Ryan Moore can win the mile race for 3yo fillies at 17.10 CET on Sir Michael Stoute´s promising Barynya. At Lingfield, the first 2 races are on the all-weather, the remaining 5 on turf, including the 5 furlongs handicap at 16.10; Lochstar (Andrew Balding/ Liam Keniry) has so far not lived up to his illustrious pedigree, but he can win this at the main expense of consistent Our Piccadilly and Even Bolder. This evening there is flat racing at Hamilton and Ripon, as well as a decent jumping card at Aintree. There is also Irish racing this evening at Downpatrick (N.H.) and Wexford (flat) with the usual huge fields. Ruby Walsh rode at two British meetings yesterday; this evening he is at Downpatrick and can win the mares hurdle at 19.05 with Willie Mullin´s Compelled, while his father Ted and sister Kati e can team up to take the Hunters Chase at 21.05 with Battlefront.
