N.H. racing at Fakenham and Exeter (evening)

Peter Bowen looks the trainer to follow this afternoon at Fakenham, where he can take the two top races, a 3 mile novice hurdle at 16.20 CET with Atlantic Coast (Seamus Durack) and the novice chase over the same trip half an hour later with No Panic, who is likely to start at long odds-on under Tony McCoy. Best betting race over jumps today is the 3 mile handicap hurdle at 19.50 at Exeter. 16 runners are due to line up, including course specialist Macmar (Sue Alner/ Keiran Burke), who won here by 14 lengths last time. However he has shot up the weights as a result, and is not certain to confirm the form with runner-up and top-weight Raslan (David Pipe/ Timmy Murphy), while Pipe´s other runner Laustra Bad (Tom Scudamore), a consistent type but infrequent winner, should again be placed.
