2 group races at Longchamp

Longchamp stages a good card today, featuring 2 group races, of which the Prix Hocquart at 15.20 is a recognised trial for the Prix du Jockey Club. German-bred Grandcamp (Jean-Claude Rouget/ Christophe Lemaire) is unbeaten in 3 starts in 2009, and made all to win narrowly last time, but he is not certain to confirm the form with Wajir (Elie Lellouche/ Antony Crastus), a close third then, while Claremont (Andr´e Fabre/ Maxime Guyon) may well beat the both of them. Half an hour later the Prix d´Hedouville for older horses over 1 1/2 miles features the return of Prince Flori (Sascha Smcrzek/ Henk Grewe), winner of the Grosser Preis von Baden in 2006. He can no longer be measured by that form, but still had a chance in this company. The field includes 2 more German-breds, Templstern and Timos, but the ones to beat are probably Magadan (Lellouche/ Crastus) and Andre Fabre´s pair Coastal Path (Stephane Pasquier) and Prospect Wells (Olivier Peslier).
