flat racing at Folkestone and Tipperary

Folkestone is not a racecourse normally associated with high-class performers, but there is an interesting field for this afternoon´s maiden race for 3yo fillies at 16.10 CET. Both Three Moons (Harry Dunlop/ Ryan Moore)and Polly´s Mark (Clive Cox/ Philip Robinson) showed enough last season to suggest that they are well up to winning decnt races, but the field also contains well-bred newcomers from the top Newmarket stables of Henry Cecil, John Gosden and Clive Brittain. The races this evening at Tipperary in Ireland have much better prize-money, and Jim Bolger and son-in-law Kevin Manning, who have made such a good start to the season, can land a double with Three Rocks at 18.45 and Buiochas Mor half an hour later, both over 7 1/2 furlongs. At 19.45 it could be the turn of Dermot Weld and Pat Smuleln, whose Suailce, owned by the Irish president, stands out in the conditions race over 1 3/4 miles.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Monsieur Chevalier - Musiara - Little Perc
2. Race: Battle - Rare Art - Riflessione
3. Race: Artistic License - Resplendent Alpha - Buxton
4. Race: Three Moons - Towanda - Polly`S Mark
5. Race: Prince Rossi - Felicia - Mick Is Back
6. Race: Shanafarahan - Sir Haydn - Compton Charlie
