9 meetings on Easter Monday

lots of racing today, but with the exception of the Irish Grand National fixture at Fairyhouse, most of it is at a very low level. There is flat racing in the U.K. at Redcar, Warwick and Redcar. By far the most interesting race is the 7 furlongs conditions race at 17.05 CET at Warwick, where Dream Eater (Andrew Balding(/ Frannie Norton), fifth in the 2008 2,000 Guineas and not seen out since running third in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot, clashes with Winker Watson (Peter Chapple-Hyam/ Alan Munro), a top 2yo of 2007 and last time out unplaced behind Ravens Pass in an Ascot Group One. Both have obviously had problems so this is not a race to bet on, but certainly one to watch. Elsewhere, note should be made of Sir Michael Stoute´s runners in 2 maidens at Yarmouth, Dream Win at 15.15 and Holyrood at 18.10, both with Ryan Moore in the saddle. Barney Curley has had a terrible run with his German imports and tries again today with Andorn (Micky Fenton) in a selling race at 16. 10 at Redcar, and Agapanthus (Joe Fanning) in a handicap at 18.45 at Yarmouth. On their old German form, both would be virtually unbeatable, but in view of the disastrous performances of their stable companions, there can be very little confidenc today.
