2 group races at Sandown

the flat races at Sandown today are also of great interest, especially the two group races. The Bet365 mile (Group Two) at 16.45 CET has a clear favourite in Paco Boy (Richard Hannon/ Richard Hughes), who is easily the best on ratings, but he has never won over this distance and seems more of a 7 furlongs specialist. German challenger Forthemillionkiss (Uwe Ostmann/ William Mongil) probably has no chance in this company, but Lovelace (Mark Johnston/ Royston Ffrench), a Baden-Baden winner last year, and Virtual (John Gosden/ Jimmy Fortune), who finished 2008 with 3 wins, are from stables in top form and should go well. Dream Eater (Andrew Balding/ Franny Norton) is previously a difficult ride and ran all over the place last time, but if he keeps straight also has a chance. The Group Three Gordon Richards Stakes over 10 furlongs at 17.15 should go to Tartan Bearer (/Sir Michal Stoute/ Ryan Moore), if he is anywhere near the form which saw him placed in the English and Irish Der by last year. However John Gosden could once again be a spoilsport here with Pipedreamer (Jimmy Fortune), who should be ideally suited by the conditions of the race.
