the remaining British meetings are well below the normal Saturday standard, but that is a result of the Cheltenham meeting, where most of the best horses in training were engaged. At Wetherby, the handicap chase over 3 miles 1 furlong at 15.55 CET can go to top-weight Brooklyn Brownie (Malcolm Jefferson/ Dougie Costello), who has not been out since November because he cannot act on the wintet ground, but should find conditions to his liking now. The best race at Newcastle is the 3 mile handicap hurdle at 16.50. Two lightly-raced and improving typrs here are Lie Forrit (Wilf Amos/ Campbell Gillies) and Grand Theatre (Nicky Richatrds/ Davy Condon), but Richards´ other runner Gunner Jack (Brian Harding) should also be considered, providing he jumps better this time. Richards and Condon can also take the handicap hurdle over 2 miles at 17.55 with Houston Dynimo, who has been runner-up on all four starts so far, including to the smart Red Moloney last time. The most interesting ra ce at Lingfield´s all-weather meetimg is the 10 furlongs handicap for 3yo´s at 16.30. Four of the 8 runners are last -time-out winners - all at Wolverhampton- Dubai Storming (Ed Dunlop/ Jamie Spencer), Gaily Noble (Tony Haynes/ Fergus Sweeney), Badge of Honour (Mark Johnston/ Greg Fairley) and bottom-weight High Cross (Sir Mark Prescott/ Chris Catlin) and one of them will probably win, but we would not like to forecast which.
