Jumps racing at Wetherby today

Today´s only N.H. racing comes from Wetherby, where there are small fields in the better races. Only 5 line up for the handicap chase over 2 1/2 miles at 16.40 CET, and Wee Forbees (Mick Easterby/ Graham Lee) can make up for his bad luck last time, when he stumbled and unseated his rider when still well in contention at Bangor, by taking this event from Borora (Richard Lee/ Charlie Poste). Earlier Easterby and Lee team up with Peters Pride in the handicap hurdle at 16.05 and he must also have a good chance, as the form of his 2nd of 17 last time out at Catterick to Description has been well boosted since. The staying handicap chase at 17.45 also has only 5 runners, but Pairc Na Gcapall (Neil King/ Alex Merriam) won so easilyat Hintingdon 9 days ago that he should be able to score again under a penalty. Top-weight Canada Street (Howard Johnson/ Denis O´Regan) and Manbow (Micky Hammond/ GrahamLee) both a good record here and can take the minor places.
