Fairyhouse and Leicester abandoned, Musselburgh inspection

Today´s N.H. meetings at Leicester and Fairyhouse (Ireland) have been abandoned, but there is still a slight chance that the Scottish fixture at Musselburgh can go ahead. Two inspections have proved inconclusive, but another inspection will be held later this morning; the weather is improving, so there is still a chance that racing will get the green light. However more abandonments are certain in the next few days; while the heavy snow- and rainfall of the past few days is now easing, the danger is overnight frost, which is forecast for most areas, and almost all racecourses with N.H. fixtures this week are calling for inspections before racing can go ahead.
