All-weather action at Kempton and Southwell

Today´s all-weather racing comes from Southwell in the afternoon and Kempton this evening, but most races are class 6 and consequently of no huge interest. At Southwell, Jamie Spencer can land a double for trainer Simon Callaghan on Under Review in the 5 furlongs maiden at 15.00 CET and My Sweet Georgia in the 3yo claimer over 6 furlongs at 16.35. Most open race here is the 6 furlongs handicap at 17.05. Top-weight Back in the Red (Ron Harris/ Kevin Ghunowa) comes here in peak form, having won 4 of his last 6 races, but at these weights is not certain to confirm his success over This One´s for Eddy (Steve Parr/ Adam Kirby), who is now 9 lbs better off for 2 lengths. Dorn Dancer (Derek Barker/ Tony Hamilton), who shows her best form in the spring, is an interesting a.w. debutante here. Best race at Kempton is the 6 furlongs handicap at 21.50, featuring several horses that have already run against each other recently. Top-weight Resplendent Alpha (Paul Howling/ Ian Mongan) won a t Lingfield last week, with Distinctly Game (Kevin Ryan/ Joe Fanning) a close fourth after not getting the run of the race. Ravi River (Tom Dascombe/ Richard Kingscote) won at Wolverhampton on Tuesday, but this looks trickier under a penalty. Elsewhere, German-bred Fin Vin de Leu (Mark Johnston/ Joe Fanning) returns from a 4 months break in the mile maiden race at 21.20, but should have too many guns for the relatively feeble opposition in this event.
