German runners at Cagnes-sur-mer

The Cagnes-sur-mer meeting continues today with several more German-trained runners entered, all trained either by Werner Baltromei or by Said-Ali Ghoumrassi, who looks after his Marseille contingent. Fire Dragon (Domnique Boeuf) contests the opening race for unraced 3yo´s at 13.15 and Naxon (Boeuf) the tiercé handicap over 2000 metres at 13.50. Both Soterio (Boeuf) and Balladur (Koen Clymans) run in the claiming race over 2400 metres at 14.20, while Fancy Running (Boeuf) is engaged in the mile handicap at 15.20. The Baltromei runners on Monday gave the strong impression that they badly needed the race, so that punters should be careful in backing these horses today, as they may well show improved form next time out.
