All-weather racing at Lingfield and Kempton

All-weather racing this afternoon at Lingfield and this evening at Kempton, but the fields, often small, consist mainly of inconsistent has-beens and no-hopers, with a sprinkling of young hopefuls. Sir Mark Prescott´s Phoenix Flight (Stephen Donohoe) can win the class 4 handicap over 10 furlongs at 15.20 if he is in top form after a three months break (if not, Terry Mills´ consistent Summer Winds (Shane Kelly) would be the selection) and the same duo move on to the floodlit Kempton meeting, were they are represented by Fandangerina, who has been off for even longer, in the 1 1/2 mile handicap at 21.20. Mark Johnson´s consistent Scarab (Greg Fairley) is the obvious danger here, but do not overlook top-weight Allanit (Andrew Stringer/ Tom Queally). The Schlenderhan-bred was listed class in Germany and the British handicapper may have taken a chance in dropping him to a mark of 84.
