All-weather action at Lingfield and Wolverhampton

The all-weather tracks are keeping the show on the road at the moment, and today´s fixtures come from Lingfield and Wolverhampton. However with no race better than class 5, these are hardly cards to stir the imagination.

At Lingfield, German-bred Artreju (Gary Moore/ Fergus Sweeney), who has been very disappointing so far in Britain, seems to have an outstanding chance in the selling race over a mile at 14.15 CET. In Germany he was much better than this grade. Fantasy Fighter (John Quinn/ Brian McHugh) is in good form and can take the 6 furlongs handicap an hour later, with top-weight Simpsons Gamble (RA Teal/ Jim Crowley) the main threat. Only 5 turn out for the 3yo handicap at 15.45. Ed Dunlop´s Romantic Queen (Jim Crowley) was an easy winner of a Wolverhampton maiden on Friday and can go in again. Majehar (Tony Newcombe/ Tom Queally) did not get a clear run when runner-up here last time and can go one better in the 10 furlongs handicap at 16.45.

Betting forecast:
1.Race: Artreju - Surwaki - Countrywide Comet
2.Race: Samson Quest - Ma Ridge - Abbeygate
3.Race: Fantasy Fighter - Magic Glade - Stoneacre Pat
4.Race: Hellbender - Romantic Queen - Bold Rose
5.Race: Bollin Franny - Taboor - Twinned
6.Race: Majehar - Master Pegasus - Kings Topic

The racing looks more competitive at Wolverhampton, where there are double-figure fields in almost all races. The fillies´ handicap over 6 furlongs at 15.10 looks quite open; Namu (Teresa Spearing/ Liam Jones) and Leading Edge (Mick Channon/ Marc Geran) are both recent winners, but Jeremy Noseda´s ex-Irish Triple Axel (Shane Kelly), an easy winner of a Southwell maiden, is the likely favourite. Kelly should also go close on Simon Callaghan´s Rebel City in the 3yo maiden at 16.40. Few of the runners in the first division of the 1 1/2 mile handicap at 16.40 have much recent form to recommend them, but top-weight Semi Detached (James Unett/ Graham Gibbons),m although he has not been placed for ages, was a close fifth over this CD last time and could be an interesting each-way bet. In the second division an hour later, the Acatenango son Terminate (Ian Williams/Stephen Donohoe), who ran on strongly but far too late at Lingfield a week ago, could be the answer.

Betting forecast:
1.Race: Triple Axel - Leading Edge - Namu
2.Race: Golden Bishop - Singleb - Redarsene
3.Race: Art Fund - Diamond Surprise - Imperial Skylight
4.Race: Where`S Reiley - Five Star Junior - Avoir Choisi
5.Race: Milne Bay - Upstairs - Voldmort
6.Race: Fantasy Ride - Vanquisher - Semi Detached
7.Race: Royal Encore - Pab Special - Thornaby Green
8.Race: Terminate - Carlton Scroop - Ben Bacchus
