N.H. racing at Hereford

Today´s jumps meeting at Hereford is very low key, and suprisingly the best race on paper is the class 3 claiming chase over 3 miles 1 1/2 furlongs at 15.10 CET. Ammunition (Carl Llewellyn/ Noel Fehily) has the best recent form, but on ratings both top-weight Mistanoora (Nigel Twiston-Davies/ Paddy Brennan) and lightly-weighted Methodical (Brendan Powell/ Wilson Renwick) could be dangerous. There is a large field for the novice hurdle over 2 1/2 miles an hour later, but this could well boil down to a match between Finney (Oliver Sherwood/ Dominic Elsworth), who ran a good race last time out at Plumpton, and Blistering (Alan King/ Robert Thornton), who had good bumper form. The same two teams could also fight out the finish of the beginners chase at 14.10, with Lyes Green (Sherwood/ Elsworth) marginally preferred over Spare Cash (King/ "Choc").
