Chepstow (Wales) and Navan (Ireland)

despite the much more valuable races run today at Sandown, it is worth noting that several top jockeys will be in action at Chepstow, including Timmy Murphy, Richard Johnson, Tom Scudamore and most famously Sam Thomas, who has been "jocked off" Master Minded and the other Nicholls runners at Sandown and sent to the Welsh track instead. He could well justify this move by winning several races for the Nicholls stable, as Charity Lane in the novice hurdle at 13.25 CET, Nakai in the novice chase at 14.00, Inchidaly Rock in the introductory hurdle at 15.45 and Gullible Gordon an hour later, all hold good winning chances. The most interesting runner at Navan is Zaarito (Colm Murphy/ MM O´Connor), if he is allowed to take his chance in the opening maiden hurdle at 13.15, for which no fewer than 30 runners are expected. A top bumper horse last year, Zaarito is one of the most exciting prospects for this season, but he was a non-runner at Fairyhouse 3 days ago because of the ground, w hich is not likely to be much better now.
