all-weather racing at Lingfield

with the two British N.H, meetings frozen off, the all-weather fixture at Lingfield is now the only racing today in the U.K., and there are some quite competitive handicaps on the card. The class 2 handicap over 7 furlongs at 15.50 CET is the best race, but looks very tricky, as several of these have met before with varying results. Markab (Kevin Morgan/ Pat Cosgrave) holds some of these on latest running, but My Gacho (Mark Johnston/ Darryll Holland) and Bazroy (David Evans/ Stephen Donohoe) are just 2 of several dangers. Course specialist Grande Caiman (Richard Hannon/ Ryan Moore) can take the 1 1/2 mile handicap at 16.00, where in-form War of the Roses (Roy Brotherton/ Paul Mulrennan) is clearly the one to beat, while bottom weight River Thames (Kevin Ryan/ Martin Dwyer) won so well over this CD 15 days ago that he can defy his outside draw and the move up in grade and take the 6 furlongs handicap at 14.30.
