All-weather racing at Lingfield and Kempton

There is all-weather flat racing this afternoon at Lingfield and this evening at Kempton, and easily the best race of the day is the listed event over 7 furlongs at 21.20 CET at the latter track. This has attracted a strong field, including the Irish.-trained Duff (Edward Lynam/ Kevin Manning), who won a similar race last time at Lingfield in good style ahead of several of today´s opponents. Another Irish runner is Finicius (Eoin Griffin/ Fran Berry), who has won his last 3 races, all at Dundalk, but meets better opposition now. Last-time-out winners Mac Love (Stef Liddiard/ Micky Fenton) and Atlantic Story (Mick Easterby/ Hayley Turner) are also to be considered in what is a good race for the time of year. The 1 1/2 mile handicap here at 21.50 can go to Wine ´n´Dine (Gary Moore/ Eddie Ahern), who can reverse recent form with Cape Colony (Richard Hannon/ Richard Hughes). Ex-Schlenderhan runner Sommersturm (Andrew Stringer/ Tom Queally) is also engaged here, but the stable for m is not encouraging.

Bottom weight Epsom Salts (PMPhelan/ James Doyle) has been first or second on his last 5 starts and should start favourite, although he is badly drawn. Last-time-out winners Wind Flow (Chris Dyson/ Cathy Gannon) and Garrulous (Gary Moore/ George Baker) are obvious dangers. Moore and Baker also have chances in the following 10 furlongs handicap with the improving Action Impact, but Luca Cumani´s lightly-raced Bullet Man (Dane O´neill) and Michael Jarvis´ hat-trick-seeking Vine Street (Neil Callan) will not make it easy for hm.
