Tony McCoy at Newcastle today

It is certainly interesting that several top jockeys make the long journey to Newcastle despite the rival and much more lucrative atrractions at Cheltenham. Tony McCoy has been booked for four promising rides by Howard Johnson, Spellchecker in the novice hurdle at 13.00 CET, Santo Stefano in the second division half an hour later, Kealshore Boy in the beginners chase at 14.00 and his best chance Shanakill in the mares´ maiden hurdle at 14.30. It will be disappointing if he goes home without a winner or two (or more!)
