smart hurdling prospects at Navan

today´s Irish N.H. fixture at Navan features a Grade Two novice hurdle at 14.00, in which several of Ireland´s top hopes clash. Only 6 run, but all are in good form, and pride of place clearly goes to the unbeaten Pandorama (Noel Meade/ Paul Carberry), who slaughtered a huge field here on his hurdling debut recently. Alpha Ridge (Paul Nolan/ AP Cawley) and German-bred Sarteano (Dessie Hughes/ Paddy Flood) could be the main dangers. The Troytown Handicap Chase over 3 miles at 15.30 is a valuable handicap, and Paul Nicholls, who has chances of being champion jumps trainer in both Ireland and the U.K., saddles the smart Officier de Reserve (Davy Russell). Chelsea Harbour (Thomas Mullins/ Tom Doyle) and Notre Pere (Jim Dreaper/ Andrew Lynch) could be threats, as is handicap specialist Tony Martin´s Hold the Pin (Robbie Colgan)
