German runners at Auteuil

German-trained runners have been extremely successful on the flat in recenrt weeks in France, but are rareyl represented at the top jumping meetings, but this is not the case today, when two German runners are in action at Auteuil and both have at least good prospects of finishing in the money. Mario Hofer´s Atamane (Xavier Hondier) ran an excellent race here when runner-up in a Group One hurdle race, and now runs in a slightly lower grade when he contests the Grade Two Prix Leon Olry-Roederer over 4300 metres at 16.20. This is however a tough race and Millennium Royal (Francois Doumen/ Christophe Pieux) looks a big danger. Miroslav Rulec saddles Ian (Jean-Gilles Gueracague) in a 3600 metres hurdle race half an hour later and he should also run well, after winning twice at Nancy.
