rest of today´s N.H. racing

There are 3 more jumps meetings today, Taunton and Uttoxeter in Britain and Thurles in Ireland, but obviously the standard is much lower than in Newbury. Charlie Mann does extremely well with his German imports and runs Laredo Sound (Noel Fehily) in the beginners chase at 14.40 CET at Taunton. This is quite a good race, and Deep Purple (Evan Williams/ Paul Moloney), who was a better hurdler but jumped badly on his chasing debut, and Mister Whatzisname (Charlie Longsdon/ Tom Siddall) are also dangerous, more so than the other German-bred in the field, Jonjo O´Neill´s Soprano (Tom O´Brien), who has so far not come up to expectations. Paul Nicholls´ The Nightingale (Christian Williams) was one of the unluckiest losers of the season when he slipped up on the flat last time, and he can make amends in the novice hurdle here at 15.15. At Uttoxeter, where the ground is testing, Gypsy George (Tom and Robert Walford) now tries hurdling after winning 3 times over fences and can take th e 3 miles novice hurdle at 14.20. In Ireland, the best race at Thurles is the 3 mile chase at 16.10. Scotsirish (Willie Mullins/ Paul Townend) is the class act here and has easily the best rating, but this trip could stretch his stamina and Hairy Molly (Joe Crowley/ Paul Carberry), winner of the Cheltenham bumper 2 years ago, looks a big danger.
