Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham

Today´s Paddy Power Gold Cup, a handicap chase over 2 1/2 miles at 15.35 CET, is the centrepiece of an excellent card at Cheltenham, certainly the best so far this N.H. season. With 20 runners it is extremely difficult to find the winner, although Paul Nicholls´ Silverburn (Ruby Walsh) seems certain to start favourite. This own brother to Gold Cup winner Denman is also highly rated in his yard and is reported to have improved for an operation to cure a breathing problem. Nicky Henderson has a good record here, and the Queen´s Barber Shop (Barry Geraghty), originally expected to run in an easier race, but switched to this now the ground has come in his favour, is one of the main dangers, but Imperial Command (Nigel Twiston-Davies/ Paddy Brennan) and Bible Lord (Andrew Turnell/ Mark Grant), behind Ouzbeck (Alan King/ Robert Thornton) this CD a month ago but now 10 lbs better off, are others with big chances in a red hot handicap.

Betting forecast:
Silverburn - Imperial Commander - Barbers Shop
