Huntingdon and Southwell

there is also U.K. racing today at Huntingdon (N.H.) and Southwell (all-weather), and Nicky Henderson, whose stable has hit top form this week, sends a strong party to the first-named track. His Ingratitide (Barry Geraghty) was a flop a week ago, but can perhaps atone for that in the 2 mile handicap chase at 16.25 CET. There are only 7 runners here, but it still looks very open, and German-bred Urban Tiger (Carl Llewellyn/ Robert Lucey-Butler), a CD winner in August, is also in with a chance off bottom-weight.The 3 miles novice chase at 15.50 sees the chasing debut of two useful hurdlers, Hold Em (Keith Goldsworthy/ Richard Johnson) and Georgian King (Alan King/ Robert Thornton) and if they jump round well enough, they should dominate. At Southwell the class 3 handicap over 5 furlongs at 16.00 is the most interesting race with several CD specialists in the field. Beat the Bell (Alan Bailey/ Nicol Polli) has won his last 3 races, but has never run here, while David Nicholls´ F ol Hollow, with son Adrian in the saddle, coms here on the back of some good performances in hot turf handicaps. However "cult horse" Pawan (Ann Stokell) once again looks the most interesting contestant. He has now run 125 times, winning 7 races and placing 33 times, and should again be in the money over a CD where he runs his best races.
