German runners at Saint-Cloud

there are only 3 more Group One races to be run this year in Europe, and one of them, next week´s Premio Roma, is obviously in doubt in view of the situation in Italy. So there is no surprise that there is an international field for today´s Criterium International for 2yo´s over a mile at 15.,20 at Saint-Cloud, although surprisingly there is no Aidan O´Brien runner. Andrew Balding´ s Prince Siegfred (William Buick) could be the best of the foreign runners, but the form choice is clearly Milanais (B de Watrigant/ Thierry Jarnet), runner-up to the top-class Narqoos last time out. There is no German-tained runner in the field, but Hans Blume´s Santiago (Christophe Soumillon) can end his career in a blaze of glory by taking the Group Three Prix Perth over a mile at 14.15. This is however a very tough race with 15 runners. There are 5 German runners in the mile race at 15.50 - Gainsbury (Pavel Vovcenko/ Soumillon), Porotto (Harry Hack/ Ronan Thomas), Prokopios(Hans Blume/ Johan Vi ctoire), and Nina Bach´s pair Grand Archer (Dominique Boeuf) and Starpix (Maxime Guyon), while Sagawing (Michael Trybuhl/ Thibault Marlin) and Dorosia (Hans Blume/ Arthur Hoyeau) both contest the claiming race for amateur riders at 16.20.
