German runners at Le Croisé-Laroche

German-trained runners have been extremely successful these past few days in France and this run can continue at today´s meeting at Le Croisé-Laroche. Main event is a listed race for 3yo´s over 2100 metres at 15.05, in which Miroslav Rulec´s much-improved Thanatos (Jean-Pierre Carvalho) and Hans Blume´s Elegant Beauty (John Victoire) both run, but this is quite a tricky event and probably the best German prospects of success are in the two claiming races at 14.35 and 16.35. In the former event, over 1800 metres, Christian von der Recke saddles Orlik (Christophe Soumillon), Horst Steinmetz Esparanto (Dominique Boeuf) and Andreas Löwe Royal Rainbow (Davy Bonilla), while two hours later over 2500 metres Victory Rule (Katja Gernreich/ Emra Kurdu), Wellango (Blume/ Victoire), Montirat (Steinmetz/ Boeuf) and Change your Stars (Kevin Woodburn/ Carina Fey) are the German runners. Orlik and Wellango are our main fancies.
