N.H. racing at Huntingdon

thee are surprisingly small fields at Huntingdon today, possibly as a result of the good to firm going. Only 5 run in the main event,a class 3 handicap hurdle over 2 miles 17.00 CET, in which Jimmy Moffatt´s Border Tale (Brian Hughes) should start favourite after a very easy win at Kelso 9 days ago, for which he has a 7 lbs penalty. Elaala (J.T. Stimpson/ Aidan Coleman) is much improved and loves this going, but perhaps the German-bred top-weight Moon Star (Paul Blockley/ Mark Bradburne) could be the one to beat; despite his pedigree he also acts well on fast ground. Another German-bred with prospects is Act Gold (Ian Williams/ Seamus Durack) in the first race, a handicap hurdle over 3 1/4 miles at 15.30. Although still a maiden,. he stays really well and was only just touched off over this CD when last seen in May. Answer Me (Norma Twomey/ Robert Thornton) certainly deserves to win a race after finishing placed on all his 4 starts so far (2 bumpers, 2 hurdle races) but may find Nigel Twiston-Davies´ Billie Magern (Paddy Brennan) too strong in the novice hurdle at 16.30.

Betting forecast:
1.Race: Markington - Cee Cee Rider - Act Gold
2.Race: Tempsford - She`S Humble - Pharanto
3.Race: Billie Magern - Answer Me - Sea Cliff
4.Race: Border Tale - Elaala - Hibiki
5.Race: Ocean Du Moulin - Scots Dragoon - Lyes Green
6.Race: Moscow Catch - Vacario - The Bonus Ball
