Irish racing today

The Listowel meetimg continues today, the fourth day of its Harvest Festival, while there is also all-wearher flat racing under floodlights at Dundalk this evening. The best race at Listowel, where the going is still very soft, is the valuable handicap chase over 2 miles 3 furlongs at 17.10 CET. Holly Tree (Eamonn Sheehy/ SW Flanagan was a very easy winner here yesterday and has obvious prospects if he turns out again under a penalty. Top-weight Reisk Superman (Tony Martin/ Ruby Walsh) is the likelyx favourite, but is not certain to be able to give weight to the last-time-.out winners Lukie Victor (Jessica Harrington/ Andrew Liegh) and Grapevine Sally (Edward O´Grady/ Denis O´Regan). At Dundalk, Grand Opera (Gordon Elliott/ Declan McDonough) was a very easy winner on the beach at Laytown last week and can follow up under a 6 lb penalty in the mile handicap at 20.40. The conditions race over 1 1/2 miles at 22.10 looks between Ghimaar (Dermot Weld/ Pat Smullern) and Zafayra (Jo hn Oxx/ Mick Kinane); they finished 3rd and 6th in a listed race behind Aidan O´Brien´s Honoria 11 days ago, but on this surface the Oxc filly can come out on top.
