German runners in France today

With the huge "Arc" meeting due next week, there is no flat racing in the Paris area today, so the main action is trotting at Vincennes, while flat racing takes place in the provinces at Strasbourg. Just across the Rhine from Germany, this meeting has always attracted lots of German-trained runners and today is no exception with 25 Germans declared. There are no fewer than 10 of them (probably a record for a single race) in the claiming race over 2000 metres at 15.05; our choice is Dr. Bolte´s Genios (William Mongil). Half an hour later, in the featured listed race over 2100 metres, Dr. Bolte can strike again with Chiron (Jerome Lermyte), although oldtimer Simonas (Andreas Wöhler/ Alxi Badel) could win this if he is in the right mood.
